Expansion of the West and South Wings

Following the demolition of the south wing, the addition, together with the existing section, creates a central, identity-defining, and spacious courtyard. In addition to the main entrance, two new courtyard entrances ensure high permeability and transparency on the ground floor. The school’s common areas are arranged and accessed in such a way that they can also be used for evening activities. A new, open plaza stretches along Pizolstrasse, fulfilling its function as the city’s entrance and the gateway to the school and sports hall. In the courtyard, a gravel area and a raised seating circle, together with the existing group of trees, create a place for people to linger. Wildflowers grow on the open meadow areas, interspersed with themed zones. These are spaces offering varied uses, atmospheric scenes, and elements.
